Happy birthday to us

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped our fantastic company on our amazing journey so far and tell you how we are bucking the trend and driving change in the IT channel.

The 1st of May sees Simoda turn 2.

A 2 year journey building a tech business in the face of a global pandemic was probably not the 1st thing on the list of things to do but I have to say what an amazing journey it has been.

During the last 12 months we added to our board team with Lee Wragg joining us in July, we also moved offices from the amazing Sheffield Technology Park to Eagle Works which is an old steel factory in Kelham Island which is the hottest place to be in Sheffield right now. This meets our desire to offer a good work life balance and support our team develop and grow whilst working with a smile.

We had many customer highlights over the last 12 months but the one that we are most proud of is our successful covid rapid response project delivery for the NHS, I was asked about this project recently and my response summarises how we feel.

"sometimes a project is worth more than just a purchase order"

We were also very happy to support up and coming talent with the recruitment of 2 apprentice's and we are also supporting the governments Kick Start scheme and we are now looking to build our graduate development program to further support the development of new technology talent in Sheffield.

Over the last 12 months we have seen phenomenal growth and have implemented ambitious plans for the future. These plans are backed by the commitment we have made to our customers that we put technology first when helping them solve issues, address challenges or achieve objectives.

Why are we doing this ?

After many years in the IT supplier market place I have seen the dramatic changes in how businesses procure their technology but one thing that has remained constant is the way that suppliers drive sales.

A sales person who's direct compensation is related to making profit goes against what I believe a business is looking for from their IT partner (not just supplier). This is never more apparent than when the supplier calls themselves a 'trusted advisor'

How does it work ?

Simple really, Simoda don't have sales people & we don't have a 'sales team'

We have a team of skilled professionals who have many years of industry experience who all work together to help businesses solve issues, address challenges & achieve objectives (our mission obviously)

Our team which consists of business development, customer success, solutions specialists, technical consultants & technical engineers who don't get paid commission, instead we compensate our staff according to their skills, accreditations & importantly everyone is included in our profit share scheme which is designed to reward overall company success.

What next ?

We will continue to help business leaders, IT teams and drive disruptive & innovative technologies which support successful digital transformation but I feel the most important action we can take is to tell more people about our fantastic team and business.

If you are interested in joining our fantastic team and interesting journey just get in touch.

If you are a business and like the sound of our value proposition then reach out to me and lets discuss how we can help Simplify Modernise & Accelerate your business.

Heres to many more years of success
