Ransomware………. I have a very particular set of skills

There has been an increase in ransomware attacks across the world, If you are not sure what ransomware is then here is a quick explanation.

Ransomware is a type of malicious software, or malware, designed to deny access to a computer system or data until a ransom is paid. Ransomware typically spreads through phishing emails or by unknowingly visiting an infected website.

Ok so im not going to hunt anyone down and kill them but I am right that I have a particular set of skills when it comes to ransomware.

Protection against ransomware is only a small part of what is needed. Unless you protect against everything possible then you are still at risk.

Now the question is what do you do if the worst happens ?

· Panic ?

· Call the police ?

· Fire the IT team ?

· Find Liam Neeson and ask for help ?

Our advice is to have a robust cloud based DR service that will enable you to pinpoint the exact time when you were infected and roll back to a non-infected state with the few clicks of mouse.

Sound good ?

This is DRaaS and exactly why you need it as part of the protection against ransomware.

If it still gets through you have a vehicle to recover.

Or you can always find them & kill them, but I would stick with DRaaS as it is easier & less risky.
